I now offer a series of 3-hour workshops based on the techniques I developed for A Head For Trouble. Please contact me at julieATjulieturjomanDOTcom for further information and to schedule workshops for your LYS, Guild, or Knitting Retreat. My teaching calendar for Fall and Winter, 2015/16 is:
Oct. 16- 18, 2015:
Jimmy Beans Wool Fall Retreat, Northstar Ski Resort, Lake Tahoe, CA. Join us for a fabulous weekend retreat filled with workshops, book signings, trunk shows, a visit to JBW’s retail store and warehouse, and lots of knitting with friends!
Nov. 21, 2015:
FinePoints yarn shop, Cleveland, OH. A day-long celebration of vintage-inspired knitting that includes a workshop, trunk show, book signing, and in-store knitting party.
Jan. 15-17, 2016:
NorthCoast Knittery, Old Town Eureka, CA. Coinciding with the start of the new (and final) season of Downton Abbey, come for a weekend of workshops, trunk and fashion show, refreshments, and more at this destination yarn shop on California’s beautiful north coast.
My new book, A Head For Trouble launched in October, 2014! The Roaring Twenties, vintage-inspired accessory projects make wonderful gifts for friends and family. The extra details and designer touches make these hats, scarves, and fingerless mitts truly special.
LYS Owners: Do you and your customers love the projects in A Head For Trouble and Knits That Breathe? Now you have the opportunity to host a trunk show at your shop, featuring the projects from the books. Combine a trunk show with a book signing if your shop is located within a 2-hour drive of Chicago. Create a kit or start a KAL to promote your shop’s special yarns. Let’s discuss the possibilities!
Please contact Julie if you would like to host a Head For Trouble or Knits That Breathe trunk show and/or book signing at your LYS.
