I’ve just tried on my completed Quercus cardigan after blocking, and I am soooo pleased with it – looks great, and it was fun to knit too – at one point I couldn’t see how it was going to work out, but it all came together beautifully in the end. It will be ideal for the British winter – thank you Julie!

I’ve just discovered you on Knitty, and I LOVE your designs. Can’t wait to start knitting Gyroscopic or Quercus today! By the way, I’d love to make long sleeves on Quercus, but not sure how to & keep the beautiful sleeve pattern intact. Would you ever think of adding additional instructions for making full sleeves to it? Keep up the good work!!!!

Julie, this is such a gorgeous cardigan! I want to knit it RIGHT NOW. I love how it flares out from the waist, especially in the back, just under the cables. So pretty. And congratulations on having such a great design in Knitty!

The sweater is beautiful and will get you through at least October in Chicago. Hopefully you’ve had experience with winter and your love of sweaters will serve you well. I hope that you like scarves and hats and mittens and….you get my point. Yep, change is good. It shows us what’s inside. Enjoy Chicago. Have Giordano’s pizza and Garrett’s popcorn (cheese & caramel). congrats on the pattern and life’s new adventure!
